An Invitation to a Private Self-Connection Photographic Experience
Hilo, The Big Island | January 16th & 17th, 2027
An exclusive, limited-engagement fine-art portrait pop-up event hosted in Hilo on the Big Island of Hawai'i. For two days only, I am opening my calendar for a selective number of private, one-on-one fine-art commissions for women who are ready to step across the threshold of complete visibility.
Women commission these private sessions for all different reasons—whether it be to learn something new about themselves, to build confidence, to celebrate a personal lifecycle milestone, or simply to document and honor the current chapter of life they are in. The prevailing pattern, though, is that they are doing this entirely for themselves.
As a portrait artist for women, I document my clients individually and as naturally as they are comfortable. This exclusive event strips away the noise and overcomplicated themes, leaving a spacious, authentic container for you to attach your own profound meaning to your images. Through a seamless blend of indoor studio portraiture and untamed natural island sets, you are invited to explore your presence, express your essence, and safely reconnect with your truest self—entirely in a private, one-on-one setting.
Your portrait experience
Our time together begins before we meet in Hawai‘i. During a personal Zoom consultation, we’ll talk about what draws you to this experience and how you would love to be photographed. Together, we’ll gather inspiration and consider clothing from your own wardrobe alongside select gowns and fabrics I’ll bring with me.
At Wild Women Hawai‘i, you’ll be welcomed with time to settle in and a grounding introduction before your portrait session. Throughout our 90 minutes together, I’ll guide you through movement, posture, and expression. You don’t need to know how to pose.
Afterward, we’ll meet for your private image reveal, where you’ll choose 15 photographs for your 8 × 8 keepsake album and corresponding high-resolution digital collection. Additional images and collection upgrades will be available.
The experience is $1,850.

What is Feminine Portraiture?
Feminine Portraiture is a style of photography that celebrates and empowers women. It can encompass elegant gowns, modern minimalist, black & white portraiture with a romantic vibe, all the way to tasteful implied fine-art nudes. Each session is intimate and personal and designed around the client's desired outcome.
Do I have to get naked?
Hell no...but ya can!! The intent of Feminine Portraiture can mean different things to different people. For Shira W Rose Studios, it's a movement to reconstruct the beauty & boudoir genre to celebrate and inspire a message of body-positive, self-love & acceptance of all body types. It's a gift for yourself first rather than for another. It is a celebration of you on your terms, embracing and even falling in love with those little details you think are flaws, the curves, those tiny imperfections that make you...more beautiful and unique because every ounce of it is you.
Our clients are made up of women who are recognizing a transition of some form within their lives. They may be newly partnered, newly single, planning a family, done having children, or feeling healthy again after illness. They are acknowledging who they are and where they are in their lives right here and right now.
Feminine Portraiture is about you embracing yourself and seeing yourself for the extraordinarily beautiful being that you are today, not 15 pounds from now, not perfect abs from now...just today and now.
What is a session like?
It is Exhilarating! It starts with the preplanning session, discovering your vision, making wardrobe choices & styling ideas to get things rolling. Now I ain't gonna lie, on the day of the shoot, for some, it may take a little warming up to get out of our heads and into our bodies. That is short-lived. As you begin to feel more comfortable, the beautiful, brave & authentic you soon reveals itself and it is magical. Then we make some magic as we capture the beautiful authentic version of you one image at a time. You will feel amazing, I promise.
What do I wear?
Whatever you want. All sessions include a wardrobe consultation where we will discuss what makes you feel the most amazing. For some, it's silk; for others, your favorite oversized off-the-shoulder sweater. And some want to wear nothing at all. It's whatever makes you feel like the divinely feminine being you are. I will be with you in choosing your wardrobe every step of the way. In fact, I am bringing to the retreat select items from my beautifully curated studio wardrobe.
Can I just get the digitals?
Yes. Absolutely. There is a SLIGHT price break for digital-only packages that range from $75 - $300 off the package price based on the individual package. I know, I know, you must be thinking, why such a small reduction? The work and essentially most of the cost remain the same on my end, even in a digital-only scenario. The work is in the experience and creating the images to the level which I deliver to my clients.
