But let me tell you how it really began…
FiFi quickly became the most requested gown in my studio — and for good reason. There’s something about her that makes women stand a little taller, speak a little more boldly, and share parts of themselves they’ve kept tucked away.
She became the catalyst for so many unforgettable sessions:
- A woman on a cancer journey.
- Another celebrating a 100-pound weight loss.
- Someone healing from heartbreak.
- A high school senior stepping into adulthood.
- A Queen turning 50 and finally ready to be seen.
Because of her power to advocate for women unlocking stories, I created a dedicated space: Portraits of FiFi — with featured blog stories and an Instagram page, @PortraitofFiFi, to carry her stories even further.
A friend saw what she was becoming and said, “You need to take her to the streets.” Urban backdrops. Candid moments. Real women, real places, real power. It was brilliant. And that’s how this new chapter began.
I don’t know exactly where this will go — but I know what I hope is that it moves people. That it reminds women they are art. And without question, it brings a little more beauty and truth to the world. What I do know, it’s going to take a village. I’m so glad you’re considering being part of this vision and journey.

We’re kicking off in my hometown of Fuquay-Varina with stops in down town Raleigh, and more — with dates and locations expanding to Charlotte, Wilmington, NYC, Richmond (VA), Charleston (SC), Orlando, Nashville (TN), Atlanta (GA), and beyond. Your session is more than a photoshoot — it’s a moment of reclamation. You’ll step into FiFi, a gown that carries stories of power and transformation, and be photographed in a way that honors your journey.
Before your shoot, we’ll connect over Zoom to align on your vision, vibe, and wardrobe. On the day of, you’ll be guided through a 40-minute editorial-style session designed to reflect your beauty, strength, and sparkle — captured in the streets and spaces that feel like home.
Each date offers only a select number of sessions — allowing every story to unfold with intention, presence, and care

A dream quietly woven into this project is to bring Fine Art Portraiture into retirement communities — creating space for women who are often overlooked to feel seen, celebrated, and cherished.

Booking Policies & Fine Print
Hair & Makeup Add-On:
Professional hair and makeup is available as an optional add-on for $200. Offered on a location-by-location basis, this service is provided by top-tier, licensed estheticians using clean, skin-safe products. It's the perfect way to feel polished, radiant, and confident before stepping in front of the lens.
Dress Size:
FiFi comfortably fits up to a size 10 and may be styled creatively up to a size 14, depending on bust and body shape. We'd love to know your general dress size and bust size so we can ensure the best fit experience for you.
Limited Availability:
Only 5 sessions are available per shoot date. Time slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Once full, the location will be closed for booking.
Payment & Cancellation Policy
Every session is intentionally designed and time slots are limited — for that reason, all payments are non-refundable.
To secure your time slot, full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Accepted forms of payment: Venmo and Zelle. A 3% processing fee applies to credit card transactions.
Seasonal Special (FiFi on the Streets)
FiFi on the Streets is a limited seasonal offering. Sessions must be scheduled and completed within four (4) months of the original booking date, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Rescheduling – Local Sessions (Raleigh–Durham & Surrounding Areas)
You may reschedule with at least seven (7) days’ notice. We will do our best to secure a new outdoor date within the same season, subject to availability.
In the event of severe weather, sessions may be rescheduled at Shira’s discretion.
Rescheduling requests made within seven (7) days of the session may be subject to a $200 rebooking fee.
Cancellations within 48 hours of the session or no-shows will result in forfeiture of the session. Payment remains non-refundable.
Rescheduling – Travel Sessions (FiFi on the Streets Tour)
Due to the nature of travel and limited pop-up dates, rescheduling is not guaranteed for sessions outside the Triangle area.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled time slot, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate you during that same trip, subject to availability.
If attendance is not possible during the scheduled travel dates, the session may be applied toward a Raleigh–Durham FiFi session within four (4) months of booking, subject to availability. Cancellations within seven (7) days may be subject to a $200 rebooking fee. No-shows or cancellations within 48 hours will result in forfeiture of the session. Payment remains non-refundable.

Welcome, I'm Shira
I created Shira W Rose Studios to serve as a movement designed to uplift women through the power of portraiture. It is a celebration of body diversity of all shapes and sizes. A journey to self-love and acceptance. A platform to instill confidence and return to a place of inner power, strength, and love.
Portraiture, for me, is to capture one's authentic beauty. As a woman, when you sit before my camera, it's not about perfection but rather a return to femininity and that certain sparkle that makes you uniquely you.

Q. What is FiFi on the Streets?
A storytelling portrait series featuring real women wearing FiFi, our iconic gown. We photograph and share your empowered story in select towns—capturing beauty, strength, and personal transformation through editorial-style imagery.
Q. Who can participate?
Any woman who feels called to be seen, celebrated, and photographed in FiFi. This experience is for all women—no modeling experience required.
Q. Where do the sessions take place?
Each city has a designated downtown hub where we meet, change into FiFi, and create portraits in nearby locations. We’ll share exact meeting details once you're booked.
Q. Is hair and makeup included?
Hair and makeup are offered à la carte for $200 and are only available in select cities. We’ll let you know during booking whether it's an option for your location.
What is your cancelation policy?
Because each session is intentionally designed and availability is limited, all payments are non-refundable.
Local sessions (Raleigh–Durham & surrounding areas) may be rescheduled with at least 7 days’ notice, subject to availability. Rescheduling requests made within 7 days may incur a $200 rebooking fee. Cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows result in forfeiture of the session.
For FiFi on the Streets travel dates, rescheduling is not guaranteed due to the nature of limited pop-up locations. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate you during the same trip if possible.

Q. Will my story be shared publicly?
Only if you give us permission. While FiFi is a storytelling dress, your comfort comes first. You can absolutely enjoy the experience without being featured.
Q. What if it rains?
FiFi on the Streets is an outdoor experience — and sometimes a little rain can add beautiful atmosphere.
If light rain is present, we may choose to lean into it creatively. In cases of severe or unsafe weather, sessions may be rescheduled at Shira’s discretion to ensure safety and the best overall experience.
Q. Can I upgrade my package after booking?
Yes, absolutely! If you’re booked for the smaller package and find yourself loving more images (as most do), you can upgrade to the larger package or purchase additional images à la carte.
Additional images can be purchased in sets of 3 or 5, so you can build your collection to exactly what you love — no pressure, just options.
