What types of portrait sessions do you offer?
Shira W Rose creates feminine portrait experiences for women, including beauty, boudoir, maternity, motherhood, fine art, bridal boudoir, personal branding, and black-and-white portraiture. Sessions range from private Signature Experiences to limited pop-ups, destination sessions, and personal portrait retreats.
What is a portrait session with Shira like?
Every experience begins with a conversation about what you want to create and how you want to be photographed. We plan your wardrobe, styling, and the overall feeling of the session together. During the shoot, Shira directs you through every movement and expression. You do not arrive expected to know what to do—you are guided from beginning to end.
Do I need to know how to pose?
Not at all. Most women Shira photographs have never had a professional portrait session and do not feel comfortable in front of a camera when they arrive. Shira guides your body, hands, expression, and movement throughout the entire session while paying attention to what feels natural and comfortable for you.
What should I wear, and do you provide wardrobe?
Your session includes wardrobe guidance and help choosing pieces that support the photographs we are creating. Shira W Rose Studios also has a curated wardrobe of gowns, bodysuits, fabrics, tulle, and statement pieces available to clients. You may wear pieces from the studio wardrobe, bring your own, or combine the two.
Is professional hair and makeup included?
Professional hair and makeup is optional and may be added to most portrait experiences. Shira works with trusted beauty professionals who understand her photographic style and how makeup translates on camera. When selected, the service is paid directly to the artist.
What is included, and how do I reserve a session?
Each portrait offering has its own session length, image collection, and experience details. Every session includes thoughtful planning, wardrobe guidance, and complete photographic direction. To begin, complete the inquiry form with the type of experience you are considering. Shira will help you choose the right offering before your date is reserved.
What is your payment and rescheduling policy?
A non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your date, with the remaining balance due according to the terms of the portrait experience you select. Because Shira reserves that time and may secure a location, team members, or travel specifically for your session, advance notice is required to move a date. Rescheduling terms and any applicable fee are provided before booking.
Will my photographs remain private?
Yes. Your privacy is important. Your photographs will not be shared on the website, social media, in print, or for promotional purposes without your permission. Choosing to be photographed does not require you to give Shira W Rose Studios permission to publish your images.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes. You are welcome to bring one trusted friend if having her there will help you feel more comfortable and supported. Choose someone who understands that the session is centered on you and will allow you the space to be fully present. Personal cameras, cell phone photography, and video recording are not permitted during the session. Please let Shira know in advance if someone will be joining you.
