I'm Shira W Rose, a Feminine Portrait Photographer based out of Raleigh-Durham, NC, and I'm thrilled to be the behind-the-scenes photographer at the upcoming Nourish the Goddess Retreat - The Revival in Nashville by Awaken with Maria. I am truly inspired by all that Marie does for her clients and can't wait to experience Nashville live and in person to capture all the beautiful moments of the retreat experience.
As a participant of the Nourish the Goddess Retreat - The Revival, you have the opportunity to not only nourish your inner Goddess through the retreat experience but also capture your essence through a custom portrait session experience with me. This private portrait offering will allow me to create a special portrait session that will capture your journey of self-love and acceptance as you rediscover your own unique beauty and reconnect to your nourished inner Goddess. The intention of this session will create a visual representation of your journey to empowerment, healing and celebrate the Goddess within you.
During the retreat, I'll be offering exclusive Feminine Portrait session packages designed to help you embrace and celebrate your inner Goddess. I believe every woman has the power to inspire and uplift others, and my mission is to help you see through portraiture the incredible beauty and strength you possess within yourself. From elegant gowns to tasteful implied fine-art nude, my portraiture style covers a range of options to suit your individual desired outcome. Whether you want to document your journey of self-love, embrace body diversity, or simply indulge in a one-of-a-kind portrait experience, I'm here to create an experience to capture beautiful portraits that encapsulate your journey in the right here and the right now. Each session is intimate and customized to you.
The are four special portrait session packages exclusively for Nourish the Goddess Retreat participants. Each package includes a one-hour session with guided posing and access to my studio wardrobe (wings included!). Select images are professionally hand retouched and delivered in a beautiful leather folio, museum-quality matted images in a handcrafted box or album from Italy based on the package you choose. Corresponding digital photos are included.
Limited timeslots are available as we will be working around the free time allocated during the retreat. Please consider booking your session by August 30th to claim your spot and allow us adequate time to plan an incredible portrait session experience for you.
Each session includes
- Pre-shoot consultation via Zoom
- Access to a beautifully curated studio wardrobe. Yes, I'm bringing my studio with me from NC.
- Fully guided and stylized I-hour photoshoot session w/ two plus wardrobe changes depending on the package selected.
- Private photo reveal via Zoom to select images within a week of the session.
- All products are printed and hand-crafted in Italy

Option 1: This all-inclusive option allows you to select two (2) beautifully professional retouched images from your photoshoot experience. Select images will be printed on 5x7 high-end luxe artisan paper and delivered in your choice of a beautifully handcrafted leather or vegan folio. Corresponding digital image(s) delivered via downloadable and shareable online gallery. - $750 -($140 savings from Shira W Rose Studio 2 image folio package).
Option 2: This all-inclusive option allows you to select five (5) beautifully professional retouched images from your photoshoot experience. Select images will be printed on 5x7 high-end luxe artisan paper matted in an 8 x 10 museum-grade mat and delivered in a gorgeous heirloom Folio keepsake box handcrafted in Italy. Corresponding digital image(s) delivered via downloadable and shareable online gallery. - $1090 ($395 savings from Shira W Rose Studios standard five image package)
Option 3: This all-inclusive option allows you to select ten (10) beautifully professional retouched images from your photoshoot experience. Select images will be printed on 5x7 high-end luxe artisan paper matted in an 8 x 10 museum-grade mat and delivered in a gorgeous Legacy box handcrafted in Italy. Corresponding digital image(s) delivered via downloadable and shareable online gallery. - $1350 ($600 savings from Shira W Rose Studios standard ten image package)
Option 4: This all-inclusive option allows you to select sixteen (16) beautifully professional retouched images from your photoshoot experience. Select images customized in a stunning handcrafted album created in Italy. The album's cotton paper is like no other, as it is handmade and crafted in Amalfi, Italy, in an over 100-year-old traditional paper mill. Corresponding digital image(s) delivered via downloadable and shareable online gallery.- $1750 ($850 savings from the Shira W Rose Studio standard 16-image album package)

I created Shira W Rose Studios to serve as a movement designed to uplift women through the power of portraiture. It is a celebration of body diversity of all shapes and sizes. A journey to self-love and acceptance. A platform to instill confidence and return to a place of inner power, strength, and love.
Portraiture, for me, is to capture one's authentic beauty. As a woman, when you sit before my camera, it's not about perfection but rather a return to femininity and that certain sparkle that makes you uniquely you.

What is Feminine Portraiture?
Feminine Portraiture is a style of photography that celebrates and empowers women. It can encompass elegant gowns, modern minimalist, black & white portraiture with a romantic vibe, all the way to tasteful implied fine-art nudes. Each session is intimate and personal and designed around the client's desired outcome.
Do I have to get naked?
Hell no...but ya can!! The intent of Feminine Portraiture can mean different things to different people. For Shira W Rose Studios, it's a movement to reconstruct the beauty & boudoir genre to celebrate and inspire a message of body-positive, self-love & acceptance of all body types. It's a gift for yourself first rather than for another. It is a celebration of you on your terms, embracing and even falling in love with those little details you think are flaws, the curves, those tiny imperfections that make you...more beautiful and unique because every ounce of it is you.
Our clients are made up of women who are recognizing a transition of some form within their lives. They may be newly partnered, newly single, planning a family, done having children, or feeling healthy again after illness. They are acknowledging who they are and where they are in their lives right here and right now.
Feminine Portraiture is about you embracing yourself and seeing yourself for the extraordinarily beautiful being that you are today, not 15 pounds from now, not perfect abs from now...just today and now.
What is a session like?
It is Exhilarating! It starts with the preplanning session, discovering your vision, making wardrobe choices & styling ideas to get things rolling. Now I ain't gonna lie, on the day of the shoot, for some, it may take a little warming up to get out of our heads and into our bodies. That is short-lived. As you begin to feel more comfortable, the beautiful, brave & authentic you soon reveals itself and it is magical. Then we make some magic as we capture the beautiful authentic version of you one image at a time. You will feel amazing, I promise.
What do I wear?
Whatever you want. All sessions include a wardrobe consultation where we will discuss what makes you feel the most amazing. For some, it's silk; for others, your favorite oversized off-the-shoulder sweater. And some want to wear nothing at all. It's whatever makes you feel like the divinely feminine being you are. I will be with you in choosing your wardrobe every step of the way. In fact, I am bringing to the retreat select items from my beautifully curated studio wardrobe.
Can I just get the digitals?
Yes. Absolutely. There is a SLIGHT price break for digital-only packages that range from $75 - $300 off the package price based on the individual package. I know, I know, you must be thinking, why such a small reduction? The work and essentially most of the cost remain the same on my end, even in a digital-only scenario. The work is in the experience and creating the images to the level which I deliver to my clients.
